Kandanga Cemetery services the Mary Valley region and is located on the Mary Valley Road near Kandanga. It is the only cemetery between Gympie and Kenilworth. The cemetery has a newly built Chapel which seats 80 people and overlooks the grounds.
There are several options available at Kandanga Cemetery grounds which offer valued places for families to visit and commemorate the lives of their loved ones.
Memorials are a lasting dedication to loved ones that allow friends and family to honour their lives. Select a style that is most suited to your wishes.
Pre-planning arrangements can give peace of mind to families knowing that the important decisions have been made ahead of time.
Bunya Chapel sits at the top of Kandanga Cemetery hill and overlooks the grounds facing westward.
The Chapel seats 80 people, with additional standing room available. Facilities include toilets.
Seating has been funded by community members and plaques honour their contribution.
The Bunya Chapel can be booked for services associated with cemetery activities or for standalone remembrance services. *Fees apply.
Visitors are welcome to use the chapel when visiting for peaceful reflection.
The Cemetery was established in 1906 with the first burial occurring in that year.

The Kandanga Cemetery Association gratefully acknowledges the support of funding bodies, who have enabled the purchase of a new digital Cemetery Management system.
This significant project is currently being rolled out and historical records are being progressively verified and uploaded. As this work continues, new online features, including searchable cemetery records, mapping and memorial information, will become available.
